As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, attractive, and functional neighborhood, the Plum Creek Compliance Inspector, Chase, has completed a recent assessment of key areas throughout the community. You can read the full report with photos below on the “Learn More” button. Here is a summary of current conditions, observations, and recommendations for improvement:
Paths & Roadways
This includes community sidewalks, trails, roads, roundabouts, and medians.
The Decomposed Granite (DG) path that runs parallel to Fairway is in need of maintenance. Several areas have eroded, with granite worn away and replaced by mud and dirt. This has led to poor conditions, especially after rain, and use by bikes and small vehicles has worsened the problem. A new layer of DG is recommended to restore safe and functional access.
Signage & Displays
Covers entrance signs, community-maintained signage (e.g., Peninsula parking signs), and rules signage at parks and amenities.
Good news! The signage throughout the community is in excellent condition, with no issues reported at this time according to compliance standards.
Landscaping
This includes overgrown trails, green spaces, planters, and vegetation around community amenities.
The area beside McNaughton Pool & Park has suffered significant wear, with grass and plants no longer present in the central zone. Heavy use and weather exposure have resulted in bare dirt, which continues to deteriorate further during storms. Restoration of the landscaping is recommended to prevent further damage and maintain the park’s appearance.
Gates & Fencing
Includes amenity gates, perimeter fences, and decorative fencing like the white vinyl along Kohler’s Crossing.
The white vinyl fencing along Kohler’s Crossing requires cleaning to maintain its visual appeal, and a cracked post has been identified for repair.
Along Cleveland Rd, several fence slats are missing, giving the area a disheveled look. This portion of fencing is in urgent need of maintenance or replacement.
Amenities
Playgrounds, parks, courts, dog parks, and pools.
All community amenities are currently in good condition and compliant with our standards. No action needed at this time.
